My wonderful wife and Double XP

So my online game City of Heroes had their semi-annual Double XP weekend. I got one character 11 levels over this weekend. yay me. I also give proper thanks to Sara, who let me play an inordinate amount of time on my computer, and handled the rugrat through most of the weekend.

Battlestar Gallactica is getting WAY depressing. I hope the series finale isn't as hopeless as the show we just watched.

Clerks was a funny and decent cartoon, it's a pity it didn't stick around long.

Bought the Dragonlance Chronicles and Legends books. I've read the Chronicles twice now, going for a third time. I've never read the Legends, here's hoping they're worth keeping.

Terrible Twos have begun... or have they?

Well the party was great, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, even the little ones. Sara gave them little treat bags so they could play with those whilst Nora tore through many gifts. I thank everyone for the clothes. She may have tossed them aside like the wrapping paper she was tearing off, but her Mother and I appreciate them.

I'd also recommend cupcake cakes. already portioned so no odd pieces or "I'll have a small slice" nonsense. downside was there was mounds of frosting that went between the cupcakes like insulation.

We also took the gates down to the kitchen, and they've been down for 4 days. We were worried at first about Nora getting into everything in the kitchen, espeically on the stove so we put them up. She runs around in the kitchen now, but she steers pretty clear of the bad stuff (well, usually with a quick "No" tossed at her).

After birthday comes professional pictures. Her 2 year photos will be set up sometime in February.

Double XP weekend is coming up on my game. Sara's probably going to take Nora out with Audrie that weekend. I love my wife.

Posting fo rthe sake of Posting, Part II

The weather is odd, even for the midwest. One day it feels like spring, the next we're in an Ice Storm Warning. Little one wants to go swing because it's bright and sunny.... and only 10 degrees.

Holidays are now over and the full swing of work is in effect. Next up, birthday #2 is this Saturday. Hard to get her things, as she has a ton of toys, it's hard to find a gift she could use and not loose in the mound of stuffed animals duplos, and little people she garnered from Christmas. Oh well, she gets a cupcake cake and her family over, she'll enjoy it.

Chores still mount in the house, but I think I've found a method to get them worked out. Wish me luck on that.

Heartburn is being a pain in the keester now. well, just when I wake up, aparently my incline isn't doing enough to keep the acid from my esophagus. I have to call in my prescription again to get a refill, and my wife is wanting me to see a specialist. I'm passing it off with the caveat "I don't have the time" which is childish, stupid, yet oh so sadly true. If i have a free day between now and 2010 I'll see about setting up an appointment.

New Year blah blah blah

So I took the last two weeks off of work because 1)No one was there and 2)I had the vacation so it's a little slower than a normal Monday for me to get into the swing of things. Other than that it's work as usual.

Had a good christmas. My stepfather made my daughter a toybox. Had her name on it and a cute little phrase to the extent of "May this store your treasures" Mom told me he spent a long time trying to think of a phrase to put on it. One he loved, but didn't put on the box, was "If you don't put your toys in here, they'll run away." I love that one, but I think my daughter, at least in early years, would take it literally and cry if they all didn't fit.

She enjoyed her second Christmas. Mostly opening gifts and playing with the boxes. She also was genuinely thrilled to open a present and find "A BOX!" the toy inside was just gravy.

New Years was low-key. Jimmie & Brandon were in town, so we wandered to my brotehrs and played the Wii for most of the night (Wii Music & Mario Kart).

For Sara's birthday I gave her Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog, and apparently that was THE gift for the year. I've watched it now like 4 times, (not with commentary, or Commentary, the Musical however) with promise of more on the way.

Nora's birthday is coming up soon. Trying to make it low-key, but it's hard to do with her family. Not that we're loud and obnoxious... well we are, but i mean there's just a decent amount of family we want to come over and say Hi.
