Deep Fried Twinkie and overgrown lawn

We're heading to the KS State Fair this weekend and I'm leaving behind a crabgrass riddled lawn that I cannot mow due to one front from the Rockies and the remnants of Hurricane Gustav. Here's hoping that when I return I'll have enough energy left to mow it, and it'll be dry/short enough to mow w/o bagging.
